2016 Clerk of the Year – Marie Johnson

Marie Johnson was nominated by Judge Meredith Rebsamen for her outstanding devotion and leadership skills. Vickie has demonstrated a commitment to her job and to the Association by obtaining extensive education and training. She shares her knowledge and training with the membership of the Association by teaching educational programs and serving on various committees.
Ms. Asher was the 2009 Clerk of the Year recipient, however since then she has continued to serve on various committees and teach educational programs that benefit the Association as a whole. In addition to serving on Association committees, she has also served on the Supreme Court Automation and E-cite Steering committees. She has participated in the National Center for State Court Faculty Training Program and will graduate in August of 2017. She will be certified to teach the National Institute for Court Management program of Core Tools: Court Performance Standards. She has also completed other educational workshops through the National Judges College, all of which demonstrates a strong commitment to her profession and to the education of district court clerks state wide.
